Ellie holds a bachelor’s in geography from the University of Nottingham. She has volunteered with many youth organisations over the years including the Burundi Education Foundation, The Girlguiding Association and IntoUniversity UK. She recently completed the UKs International Citizens Service and spent 3 months living and working in rural India; volunteering with Pravah, an Indian grassroots organisation focussed on youth empowerment. Ellie is passionate about addressing inequality in each and every society, and understands the power of the individual to change their own life trajectory. Sustainable development relies on empowering the youth!”
Ilaria Mantegazza Ilaria is an environmental management professional with interests in ESG Governance, big data and stakeholder engagement. She currently works as Environmental Specialist at Tetra Pak Italy where she deals with and manages sustainability projects. She holds a Bachelors in International Science and European Institutions from the University of Milan and a Masters in Environmental Management from the University of Nottingham. Her previous projects include a flood risk insurance design in the UK, a sustainability business plan for Nottinghamshire Care Homes, a campus recycling qualitative analysis and a critical evaluation of Ferrero’s CSR report.
Aneeba Rashid Aneeba is a sustainable development enthusiast. At the age of 25, she already has over 24 secondary and higher education course books published in her name. She is a HEC-PhD Research Scholar at Government College University, Lahore working in the field of bioremediation. She has represented Pakistan nationally and internationally at different fora including at Burapha University, Summer Culture Exchange Camp, Thailand. She has worked as a Research Analyst with Green Box leading Sustainable Development Goals Localisation Project in Pakistan, developing youth engagement content in Urdu Language. Aneeba’s diverse experience of teaching young people and content design makes her an asset for Green Box’s team.
Sahar Sajjad Sustainable Development as a concept captured Sahar’s interest during her Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences. After graduating from GC University, Lahore, she joined the Sustainability Department at Bulleh Shah Packaging (BSP), Pakistan’s largest pulp and paper mill, as a Responsible Supply Chain Executive. Following 3 years of work experience dealing with many facets of sustainability, including responsible sourcing, environmental efficiency, stakeholder involvement and human rights and responsible business, she wanted to diversify her experience and understanding of sustainability issues. Therefore, she is now enrolled in a Master’s of Environmental Sciences, Policy and Management at the Central European University in Hungary and Lund University in Sweden.
Muhammad Omer Imran Omer is currently doing his master’s in project management at Latrobe university Melbourne. He is the debating president and the city campus officer of the student union at Latrobe. Furthermore, he is working part-time at a business consultancy organisation as a business development Lead. He loves public speaking and travelling. His great passion in life is to educate children from disadvantage backgrounds and make this world a better place.
Maha Kamal Maha Kamal is an International Public Policy specialist. With over 9 years in communication and policy, she is currently exploring the intersection of technology and politics. Maha was awarded the Chevening Scholarship in 2015 for a Masters in International Public Policy at Queen Mary, University of London. She received a distinction on her dissertation, which explored the Paris Agreement and its Impact on Global Energy Policy. She is currently associated with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and has authored multiple publications on policy and governance. She holds a dual Bachelors degree in International Relations and Journalism from Boston University. When Maha is not analyzing policy or drafting papers, she’s found reading the Economist, Foreign Policy and Psychology Today.
Zeeshan Zafar Zeeshan is an emerging lawyer and is currently enrolled in LLM degree at University of Pennsylvania.  He has received various accolades including a gold medal from the Punjab University Law College and a membership of the Human Rights Committee of Punjab Bar Council. He has been invited to participate in various national and international fora on sustainable development and human rights. He has represented Pakistan in the Study of the U.S. Institutes for Student Leaders Program of the US Embassy and has also undertaken youth leadership training roles in Turkey and Lithuania. Being an all-rounder, Zeeshan has previously developed and hosted a prime-time youth dialogue show at a national TV channel in Pakistan.
David Young David Young comes from the United States. He has a Master of Arts in Global and International Studies from Brandeis University. He has been living and working in Thailand for four and a half years as a Program Officer at UNESCO Bangkok, where he develops and leads programs focused on building the skills of young people to contribute to policy formulation, strengthen youth networks, and create media advocacy content.
